Being elegant is something that every woman should desire. Why? it makes you stand out. It is something I deeply desire, especially in a world where the concept of “elegance” is gradually forgotten and the world is becoming more unrefined. There arises a need to preserve the culture of elegance more than ever before.
Elegance has nothing to do with being extravagant. It is an elusive quality that can’t be bought yet many women desire to know more about being elegant. Though the concept is drastically evolving through the years and interpretations of the concept are being changed to meet personal preferences, it is important to note that the basic rules that guides elegance are still there.
Being elegant is something you should define yourself. It is not tied-down to one style of living. The rules that guides elegance are there to help you achieve a more graceful, sophisticated, mind and appearance. Elegant women draw eye with their confidence and poise. Their self-image is boosted though their confidence.
In this platform, we take a journey of self discovery and embrace our femininity that makes us appreciate who we are as women and feel more comfortable with ourselves and others.
What is elegance?
Elegance is a conception that is simply amazing. I believe elegance to be the quality of being graceful and stylish in appearance or behavior. It is a way of projecting yourself in an admirable and satisfying neatness that is very concise. Elegance is just a way of life.
Being elegant is beautiful; it makes you look attractive, sophisticated and feminine. You don’t need to have expensive things to be elegant and being elegant is not only for those who can afford fine things. Being elegant is a quality that any woman can possess.
An elegant woman
An elegant woman is a woman that carries herself in a sophisticated and fashionable way, that makes her amazingly mysterious. True elegance in a woman speaks by the way she effortlessly displays her beauty in a quiet, genuine and graceful way.
Elegant women are hard to come by these days as people want to keep up with the new trends of this world. However, you can distinguish yourself from others by being a refined woman.
In my studies, I have noticed something that elegant women always attract. That is RESPECT. What I notice immediately from their outward appearance is the way they carry themselves: with poise and grace. They tend to dress in a manner that reflects their character accurately. When you see them, you don’t need anybody to tell you that these women are refined.

True beauty starts from within
I am yet to meet a woman who does not want to feel independent, calm and true to herself even in the most disturbing and stressful situations. When I was little, I met women whose ways of living changed my life forever. Since then, I have had the passion to be a better version of myself. I just wanted to be “ME” and not someone else. I realized that most of the world’s conception of “elegance” was wrong.
Being an elegant woman is not about wearing the most expensive pearls or being extravagant. It is not about going an extra mile to prove to the world that you are something but deep within you, there is no peace and calmness. Why go through all the stress and bitterness to prove something you are not? why live a fake life? There is no gain in being the fake version of yourself; it only brings pain.
As a woman, your true beauty shows when you appreciate yourself and stop focusing on what “other” people are saying about you. I know starting this journey won’t be easy, but you just have to try. You have to be willing to move to a higher level; a level that truly suits your worth as a woman. You have to strive to be a better version of yourself everyday.
Being an elegant woman does not mean you had the best past experiences. As a matter of fact, for most women, what their driving force is, is their past. They made mistakes in the past that they turned into lessons, they became unstoppable by following their hearts and accepting what that happened in the past without giving up on their dreams, purpose and goals in life.
Having a pure soul and good heart makes a woman truly beautiful. Beauty is truly the illumination of your soul. Accept and love yourself. Be true to yourself.
Believe in yourself
You may have come across people that know nothing about elegance and find the word “elegance” irritating, there are people like that in the world and there will always be people like that; you can’t change that. This journey of elegance is a personal thing, you don’t need the approval of anybody to achieve your dreams or change those things that are dragging you own in your life.
When you made up your mind to be an elegant woman, there must have been something that inspired you to drop those old bad habits that don’t really define your beauty. Why don’t you try a new thing; you will be happy that you did so!
I want you to know that taking this journey of elegance won’t be easy but it will be definitely worth your efforts. There will be people around you who will try to ridicule you but never pay attention to them. Believe you can achieve your goal and no matter the world’s opinion about you, show them that you are more than what they think.
